Old Austria: 750 Years Lvov
Lvov is the capital of the region of the same name with a population of 2.6 million and occupying an area of 21,800 km2. The town of Lvov itself has a population of 830,000. Like a true "diamond" of Eastern Europe, Lvov appears as an open-air museum with 2,000 historical, architectural and cultural monuments. The town was founded in 1256 by Prince Danylo Halytskyj, and named after his son Lev.
